Teaching has always been a part of my life that I intrinsically enjoy. I love helping my students overcome areas where they’re struggling so they can progress further in their academic endeavours. As someone who benefitted from tutoring as a child, my teaching approach is simple: identify the obstacles and knock them over!

I’m a specialist Mathematics tutor with several years of experience supporting children through 11+, GCSE and A-Level exams. I take a student-specific approach, identifying each student’s strengths/weaknesses, then planning and delivering lessons according to their needs. I carefully explain each topic and key concepts, demonstrating their application to exam-style questions and building confidence to independently tackle questions under exam conditions. I’m skilled tutoring online and in-person, and I use a design tablet and pen to teach with a virtual whiteboard in class. After each class, I send a full copy of what’s been covered so my students can reference comprehensive notes from our tutorials when they’re revising.

Building a strong rapport with my students is crucial, engendering a mutually beneficial exchange whereby I tailor my teaching towards each student’s learning goals. I’m also happy to offer mentorship and advice on the University process and University life in general.
