In my tutoring sessions, I adopt a personalised approach aimed at addressing the specific needs and weaknesses of each student. I start by engaging the student in a conversation to identify their areas of struggle and then tailor the lesson accordingly. Utilising assessment questions as a guide, I structure the teaching content to focus on these identified weak points. Interactivity is a key element in my methodology—I incorporate powerpoints to aid visualisation and regularly pause to ask questions, ensuring that the material is not only presented but also absorbed.

To reinforce understanding, I introduce practice questions, initially working through a few collaboratively and gradually allowing the student to tackle the rest independently. The subsequent review of these questions, emphasising any mistakes made, is a crucial part of the learning process. I believe in providing constructive feedback and encouraging students to learn from their errors, fostering a growth mindset.

The length of my lessons is flexible, ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending entirely on the student's preferences and needs. Regardless of the duration, I ensure that each segment of the lesson is evenly distributed, maintaining a well-balanced and efficient use of time.

Drawing on my experience as a volunteer tutor for KS3 maths during my time in sixth form, I received positive feedback from both students and teachers, noting a tangible improvement in the academic performance of those I assisted. This experience has fuelled my commitment to delivering effective and impactful tutoring.

My target audience encompasses KS2, KS3, and KS4 students in maths, physics, and computer science, along with A-level Computer Science and BTEC IT levels 1-3. I take pride in my versatility and adaptability, ensuring that my tutoring services are accessible and beneficial to a diverse range of students.

My experience with my private math tutor has been a game-changer for my GCSE preparation. They have a knack for breaking down difficult topics into manageable chunks, making them much easier to understand. What I appreciate most is their willingness to adapt their teaching style to suit my pace and learning preferences. Thanks to their support, I've seen a significant improvement in my confidence and grades. I feel more equipped than ever to tackle the upcoming exams. I couldn't recommend them highly enough to any GCSE student looking to excel in math.
