Trained at the University of the West Indies and Fordham University in the USA, I have made my mark in the Humanities with over twenty years’ experience as a trainer/facilitator, lecturer, life/corporate coach, writer, an actor, a spoken word performer and Artistic Director.
I hold a B.A. in Mass Communication and Literature and a M.A. in Public Communications and have used these, as well as my work in the arts, to provide vehicles for delivering a wide range of workshops to address a number of topics for students, corporate clients and specific demographics. I have taught subject areas such as English Literature, English Language, Cultural Studies, Musics of the Caribbean, Oral Communication, Adulting 101 & 102 and Personal Development courses. Topics addressed as a Facilitator/Trainer have included team building, management and leadership skills, organizational issues, customer service, staff development and individual/team motivation. I also offer training and education in specific fields in the Tourism, Entertainment and Creative industries and a focused set of seminars on HIV and AIDS education; and customized strategic planning and staff retreats.
