Lessons are tailored specifically to each student to help them develop the skills they need at their level. Content will be fun, using methods such as mnemonics and rhymes to help students memorise content, and using exercises designed to make studying English more enjoyable, such as those related to 'silly' sentences or using their favourite book or show as material. Depending on student's needs, pdf worksheets may be provided with a number of exercises for them to work on both during and out of lessons. Structure will be relatively loose, starting with reviewing their work from the previous week, and going from there based on what they struggled with. The lesson will end with a review of what we have covered, and something for them to work on for next week.
I have experience tutoring other students in various subjects, including KS3 mathematics, computer science as GCSE level, and beginner violin. I also have experience working with young people, from looking after younger family members, to volunteering work at multiple schools, to helping to lead multiple extra curricular activity groups at different school. This has allowed me to develop excellent methods and interpersonal skills to appeal to many different students of different skill levels on a personal level.
Professionally, I have experience in sales, which has further allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills and appeal to a wide range of people in the public. Personally, I have enjoyed writing stories and reading books for as long as I can remember, a passion that has only continued as I have transitioned to my University studies. I hope I can transfer that passion to other young students, and help even those without any passion achieve the grades they are aiming for.
