As an advanced level Spanish speaker, understanding different cultures and languages is something I am very passionate about. My years of language learning experience have allowed me to understand the best ways to teach and integrate language based skills. My teaching format will start with the basics of the language to allow you to have real conversations in the Spanish speaking world, introducing conversational phrases based upon your current level of understanding. My target audience will be GCSE students or those just starting their Spanish language learning journey. As opposed to classroom lessons which often teach extremely formal versions of Spanish, I will encourage more native sounding phrases and words to help you feel more fluent and comfortable with the language. Using songs and TV shows to teach commonly used structures and vocabulary is something which although is not widely used, is heavily effective. Teaching my close friends has helped me to see the common challenges of learning Spanish such as gendered nouns and I will target these straight away. I hope to bring a new, modernised approach to language learning that will help you feel more engaged with the language, harnessing it and enjoying the ability to communicate across cultures. One hour lessons a week will be the perfect start to your Spanish learning journey, and I will share tips for you to start becoming more familiar with the language at home. Whether you want to pass your exam or just feel more comfortable on holiday, I can’t wait to help you learn!
