My lessons are fun, engaging and interactive. I provide opportunities for collaboration in groups and pairs. I ensure my lessons are challenging and the teaching methods are clear to easily understand.
I teach using PowerPoint presentations and the white board.
I ensure my students can apply skills to doing assigned project work. I know how important formative assessment is and use it to daily guide my teaching and the learning of my students so that I can plan their targets and my next steps. I also use Summative assessment at the end of teaching units to check learning progress.
I ensure my lessons comprise of : pupils engaging in individual work or collaborative work, one-on-one or small group conversations with me. I carry out mastery checks through questions , quiz & tests. Also I allow my students to reflect on their own performance which helps my students move from conditioned, dependent learners to empowered and self-directed learners.
My classes are inclusive of all and I am patient and listen to the needs of my students.
I understand that my students have diverse needs and experiences so I tailor my plans to meet my students needs and provide intentional progression for each learner.
My lessons are highly practical and hands on and it empowers students to develop and utilize self-directed learning skills of self-awareness, time management to succeed as lifelong learners in the classes and elsewhere.
I enjoy learning from my students as much as the they learn from me.
And this has caused me to learn a lot about their culture, food and music.
