As an online tutor, my lessons are structured to be interactive, tailored, and relaxed, focusing on building understanding and confidence in mathematics. I typically begin by identifying areas where the student feels less confident. This often involves starting with a few warm-up questions, and potentially revisiting previously covered material to reinforce knowledge. Once these are marked and reviewed, we move on to the main topic of the lesson. I use interactive slides to break down the subject into small, manageable pieces, ensuring that each concept is clearly explained.

We then work through practice questions together, allowing me to demonstrate problem-solving techniques, before giving the student time to work independently. This independent practice helps gauge their understanding, and we finish by reviewing their answers together, discussing any mistakes or areas for improvement in a constructive manner.

My lessons are designed to be engaging and flexible, incorporating short bursts of focused work and adapting to the student’s needs. If a particular topic is mastered quickly, we shift to another area to make the most of our time. Above all, I aim to create a supportive environment where no question is too small, encouraging students to leave each session with greater confidence in their abilities.
