For over 5 years, my passion for learning and imparting knowledge has driven me to teach or tutor people around me in my academic life from grade 6. The joy of the moment when a person suddenly understands and appreciates something once complex to them motivates me to assist people in their academic journey whenever possible.
I have had my lecturers refer students to me to tutor them in specific academic areas they may be struggling with. As a teacher, I have had school leaders refer parents and their wards to me to assist their children in their academics. My efforts, talents, and hard work always bring smiles to the students and their parents. It brings satisfaction to me when I could be of help.
I incorporate students' interests and create practice examples of the math topics we are studying and this makes math fun and applicable in our daily life. I am patient with my student. I believe that every person is special and if I can discover how they perceive a concept, I can relate better and access the means of imparting knowledge in their specific ways.
Another technique I use in teaching is to give the student the chance to teach me a concept of the topic after thorough preparation with you. I believe that if you can teach a concept to a friend or me, your brain will discover other wonderful ways to understand the concept you teach.
I enjoy challenges. If you think you may never like math, I would love to prove you otherwise.
