My lessons will be weekly course work. Students will be tasked with discussion assignments and will respond in a discussion forums on dashboard. I will post weekly discussion assignments and discussion rubrics for ratings for peer assessments on every Sunday and every Wednesday will be the deadline for submission. Students will be expected to do their submissions early or latest by the specified time since late submission would not be entertained. There will be weekly written assignments provided with written assignments rubrics and rating forms for peer assessments on every Wednesday . The portfolio activity units will be submitted on every Thursday. The portfolio assignment will come with the portfolio rubrics but it will be assessed by the teacher only.The deadline for assignments submission is 11:55 p.m. For every 8 weeks students will be engaged in project work which starts from the 3rd week and would be submitted by the end of the 6th week. The project rubrics would be provided by the teacher for the students but assessment will be done by the teacher. Some videos and links for reading materials would be provided to learners. The criterion for written assignments assessments would be proficiency on foundation knowledge, critical thinking skills, grammar and mechanics, organisation ,style, and citations.The criterion for assessment for discussion forums will be proficiency in understanding of the topic under discussion and contributions to extending knowledge of the group. The criterion for portfolio activity assessment will be proficiency in self improvement, connection to outside experiences and connection to course readings (videos, presentation,etc) and discipline specific literature. The proficiency will be 5 levels such as No proficiency,, Limited proficiency, Emerging proficiency, Proficient and Advanced.
