Hello,
My lessons are engaging and relevant and based on relevant communication . I also include an element of grammar to give the learners the autonomy to create language independently rather than relying on ready made phrases. My lessons include a good balance of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, but this could be tailored to the student's needs and goals. For example, if you only needed spoken French, we would take much of the writing work out of the equation. The listening material I provide is a mixture of my own voice and scripts and other recordings from the Internet so that you can get accustomed to a range of voices and accents.
Being a native speaker of French, I am regularly in contact with the French culture and that of other French speaking countries and I make sure to include this element in my lessons, whilst providing relevant and up to date content. It is important for language learners to also be culturally aware and familiar with the customs and habits of the country, and current affairs.
In terms of format, I use PowerPoint presentations, audio files, and Teams when teaching online. When teaching face to face, I would have a digital version of the lesson for you to read from your smartphone, and if you wished to have a printed handout, I could bring this too. I know however, it is important for some students to be paper free. I would ask you to have an exercise book and I would set homework.
Many thanks,
Eva
