I intend to cater tutoring sessions to what the student needs the most. Whether this is focusing on homework/coursework, problem areas or otherwise, I want to make sure that any student that wishes to be tutored by me is comfortable and feels as though improvement is possible.

I would like to combine paper learning/proof reading of work with online work such as solo Kahoots and Blookets, as it has been shown to be a very effective learning technique, one that has helped me in multiple subjects. I'd also like to utilise Quizlet, as it allows students to view any work they struggle with outside of sessions. Through the creation of online flashcards, they can be portable and incredibly helpful, condensing information and allowing information to be segmented and in turn using the power of association to help information sink in properly.

As a student myself, I understand the most effective education techniques, both classic and newer methods, through trial and error when revising myself. In turn, I know how to adjust a plan to be most effective for others, and how best to present information in order for it to sink in. I can adapt easily and I appreciate the importance of understanding a student's mind and the way in which they process information when planning sessions and making sure that I am able to cater to their needs and optimise their ability to improve.
