I have been a registered teacher for 3 years and a tutor for 2. I attend regular CPD sessions run by the SQA to ensure I am able to give the best exam advice to pupils.

My Lesson Format:

1. Introduction: Beginning with a brief introduction to the topic or concept I will be covering. Setting the stage for what students can expect to learn.

2. Interactive Conversation: Engage in a dynamic and interactive conversation. I encourage students to ask questions, seek clarification, and provide examples related to the topic.

3. Structured Content: Break down the lesson into structured content. This could include key concepts, important definitions, and relevant examples.

4. Q&A Sessions: I will pause for Q&A sessions to address any doubts or questions students may have. This helps reinforce learning and ensures that students are following the material.

5. Feedback and Recap: Provide feedback on students' questions and contributions. Summarize the key points covered in the lesson to reinforce learning. Issue independent learning work to check students' learning.

Lesson Dynamics:

Adaptability: I am flexible and will adapt the lesson based on the student's needs and level of understanding. If a student is struggling with a concept, I will provide additional explanations or examples.

Encouragement: I encourage students to express their thoughts and opinions. This fosters a more dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Progress Tracking: I keep track of the topics covered in previous lessons and connect them to the current material. This helps students see the bigger picture and how concepts are interconnected.
