I am currently completing my PhD in Psychology, focusing specifically on cultural differences in visual perceptual learning. During my time completing the PhD, I have undertaken academic teaching roles in the university such as Visiting Lecturer. This role gave me significant experience in teaching undergraduate Psychology modules where I both gave lectures and taught students in my own seminar groups as a seminar leader. I was also involved in the marking for these modules so I have great insight into what markers are looking for when assessing submissions.
As such, I set my lessons up with the specific goal of getting you to achieve the grade you wish for by using the marking/assessment criteria to our advantage. These criteria are used at all levels of education, from GCSE right up to Master's degrees and further. My job will be to unlock your potential for hitting these grade criteria so that you can excel.
Our first sessions will be introductory where we go through the specific module or assignment you need help on including the general content, reading materials and assessment details. We will then focus on the requirements to hit certain grades based on the assessment criteria and decide upon an appropriate grade to aim for. Following sessions will be planned to then improve your standard of work so that it is sufficient enough to achieve this grade or even potentially higher.
I have worked with students from a range of backgrounds with a range of skills. I will tailor your lessons to suit your needs and goals.
