My lessons start off, with learning how to pronounce short and basic words that are used in sentences everyday. We will spend a third of the tutor session working on these words, then we will proceed to structure sentences using these words. These sentences will not only focus on the words but the tenses used. Tenses are very important in any language, so knowing how to use them will be important part of our lesson. That will make up another third of our lesson. The last third of our lesson will be spent of conversations. There is nothing better than talking to a native speaker when learning a new language. This will help students to get acclimated quicker.

I have had experience helping many foreign students to learn how to speak English. Whether that be friends or students that I tutor at my university. Working with a native speak can make a tremendous difference, and sometimes it can help the student feel a little more confident. English is not as easy of a language to learn quickly, so my job will be to make the transition and learning experience as good as possible.

Throughout the days or weeks, we would continue to cover different sets of words, phrases and sentences. As time goes on, I will be tracking the student’s progress and developing new lessons based off of the progress that has been made. This way the student is constantly challenged at the pace that they are going, causing them to have a smooth learning experience.
