This is the idea that learning is a product of experience. We can only gain experience from interacting and engaging with the world and people around us, and so at the end of each lesson, I encourage students to reflect on what they’ve learnt. Don't worry and don't be nervous, practice and patience makes perfect! I like this method because it helps students learn from mistakes, and prepares students for future experiences.
2) Simple Learning:
I like to avoid complexity when teaching students English. I prefer to start with texts that feature basic sentence structure, word order and verb tenses, with few irregular verbs. I use simple vocabulary and avoid progressing to more complex rules of grammar until the students grasp the basics. Additionally, I avoid using lots of written words on my presentations as this is the quickest way to disengage students; I prefer to use less words and more fun and engaging visuals, such as pictures and videos, to ensure I have the students maximum attention and that they are having an enjoyable teaching experience!
