I am an experienced secondary school teacher who wants to assist students in achieving their best and reaching their potential in English whether it is language, literature, literacy, extra lessons at KS3 and/or to assist students in learning the language. I also love to promote a love of literature and learning in general through stimulating lessons that are matched to student interest and ability. To engage students, I tend to use a range of stimulating activities in one session that cater to the needs of the individual learner. I like to get to know my students first so I can tailor my lessons to suit their interests. Especially for KS3 and GCSE, I like to teach precise methodologies to answer each of the questions in both language and literature papers that have been tried and tested and have helped my students to achieve success. I would relish the opportunity to assist you or your children in becoming the best they can be at English. As Winston Churchill said, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts". I truly believe that mistakes make us better in the long run and I want to instil in my students the motivation and desire to keep going even if they find it difficult. I look forward to meeting you soon!
