I’ve spent almost 9 years studying mathematics and i’m still currently studying it at university so my knowledge is expanding however i achieved an A grade at GCSE and A* grade at A-Level in maths so i’m very capable of teaching to anyone at those levels. I find it’s best to let the student give it a go but after give a detailed explanation and walkthrough visually of how to carry out the question and complete the maths quickly, calmly and clearly. I then will give similar examples to confirm the students understanding and seeing if they can apply what they learnt from an example. The examples will start with a very similar structure to the walkthrough example but will be continuously amplified depending on the students understanding. The most difficult questions will really target the students intuition and help them evolve their mathematical skills. No question is too simple, I’m here to explain from the most basic mathematical systems like multiplication and division, to algebra and trigonometry etc. The teaching is online so i can prepare powerpoint to share with the students or show my writing in person whichever my student find the most beneficial, i’m very flexible and am more than willing to alternate my teaching pattern to whatever benefits the specific student. Before each lesson I do require that i am sent a brief overview of what the student is wanting to learn and any specific questions from their actually classes that they need explained the most so i know exactly what to teach and pin point in the lessons and not waste our valuable time. i look forward to meeting my new students and getting the chance to share my knowledge.
