Erin in a nutshell
I have three years' experience tutoring many students at GCSE and A-Level, and can provide references upon request. I have just achieved a First Class Honours degree in French and German at Durham University, during which I lived in Paris and studied French literature at the Sorbonne for a semester. I have three years' experience tutoring many students at GCSE and A-Level, and can provide references upon request. I have just achieved a First Class Honours degree in French and German at Durham University, during which I lived in Paris and studied French literature at the Sorbonne for a semester. I will be starting a Master's in Modern Languages at the University of Oxford next year.

For the first tutoring session, we will assess your level of French together and discuss what you're finding tricky. We can look at your past exam papers, exercise books, or report cards, in order to get an idea of what we're working with, and to tailor future sessions to your needs. These future sessions could involve, for example, practice exam questions, mock oral exams, vocabulary and grammar tests, and essay plans.

I took my GCSE French in 2018 and achieved a grade 9, and I took my A Level in 2020 and achieved an A*. I am therefore familiar with the syllabus, marking criteria, and the key to success. I have amassed a plethora of resources to help you to achieve your full potential, and I enjoy making personalised worksheets and exercises to keep you engaged – learning should be fun, not a chore! I aim to help you find your passion for languages.

If needed, I can set homework exercises or vocabulary lists to learn, and we can do vocabulary and spelling tests the next week. I am friendly and approachable, and just want to work with you to help get your best grades!

Please get in touch via email or text message to find out more. I offer in-person sessions in the East London/Essex area, or online sessions if you would prefer. I can work to your schedule, just get in touch!
