Hi I’m Erin!
I’m a female 24 year old first class MSci Biological Sciences graduate and also a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader. I currently work for a charity called FarmAbility where I enable adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities to participate in meaningful activity on working farms.
My passion for Biology means that in my spare time I would like to help more students enjoy and improve their knowledge of the subject in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. My specialities are ecology and conservation but due to my further education I have in-depth knowledge of all GCSE topics.
My experience in early years Forest School and adult social care means I can tailor my sessions to individual needs and practice adaptivity and patience in my teaching. Most importantly I love connecting with and helping people, from all different backgrounds and skill levels! I believe I am intuitive in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of students and then using this to devise a plan to improve results. I have an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding etc., training.
I am based in Witney so can visit Witney, Eynsham, Long Hanborough etc., for in person sessions. Alternatively I offer online sessions which often feel more familiar for current students. As someone who completed their degree during the pandemic I know what makes teaching online effective or perhaps more importantly, ineffective. I am available all day/evening Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Please do get in touch with any questions, I’m here to help!
