Our lessons will be personalised to your needs, so finding out what it is you want from tutoring will be the main focus of our first lesson. They will also be online so that you are comfortable and in your own space - if you find that an in person session works better for you, then of course we can do that too. A main goal of mine is to make our lessons accessible, so any neurodivergent learners be assured that your access needs will be worked into lessons from day one.

We'll try some different methods of learning to find out what works for you. If you're finding you're struggling with through reading large texts from your GCSE course, then we can work on breaking texts down, as well as figuring out what road blocks are in the way. If you had an A Level lesson that didn't sink in, we can run through your notes and find a different way of approaching it. When it comes to exam season, we will work through different methods of revision; not everyone gets along with flashcards, so we could try auditory revision i.e. recording sessions so you have something to listen to, or switching up mnemonics you're given in school to something you're more likely to remember.

When it comes to essay writing, we will work through structure and content together to make sure you have an excellent basis for your own, independent writing. I am more than happy to collaborate during sessions; my main focus is your needs when learning.

The GCSE texts I work closely with are on the AQA exam board, which includes:

- Macbeth
- An Inspector Calls
- Power and Conflict Poetry
- Unseen Poetry
- A Christmas Carol

The main content we will work through will be curriculum based, and if you wish, we can add in further reading to help boost your confidence and ability to tackle new texts.

For any University students, the focal point of sessions will be essay writing and structure, an element you might not receive often enough during lectures or seminars.

Any queries, get in touch, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have.
