I am not just an English speaker with an Australian accent. I have lectured and tutored many University students from every walk of life. Previous this, I travelled the world on behalf of the companies I worked for doing business in the television and film world. I gave speeches, trained staff, met executives and university students from many countries.

Many others can also claim this experience. The difference with my background and acknowledged credentials, is I am empathetic to all cultures. For instance, when I gave talks in countries, I always made sure the audience understood that I had a lot to learn about their culture. And this understanding enabled me to get up close, one on one, with local people who wanted to understand and communicate in English, while being able to bring the distinct qualities of their rich culture with them.

Learning English does not mean subjugation of your own culture. Rather, it becomes a way to communicate the values you have to others in a way they can understand. The benefits if learning to communicate orally, written, and academically in English are a given to help you to succeed. But also, the expertise provides a pathway that enables others to see the beauty that exists in your culture. So, while you learn to communicate in English, you also impart great wisdom.
