With over 20 years of experience as a Curriculum Leader for Modern Languages, I have honed my skills in teaching French, Spanish, and ESOL to both the 16-19 cohort and adults. My role as a visiting oral examiner for WJEC units 1 and 3 for the past two decades has provided me with valuable insights into assessment processes and quality.
In recent years, I have taken on the role of a Teaching and Learning Mentor, supporting new members of staff and contributing to their professional development. This role, coupled with my teaching responsibilities on the PgCE in partnership with USW, has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the curriculum.
A dedicated advocate for the use of ICT in education, I believe in leveraging digital technology to support pedagogy and create fully inclusive environments. In 2020, I became a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE), a title I have successfully renewed every year since then.
Overall, my extensive teaching experience, coupled with my expertise in digital technology, equips me with a well-rounded skill set. I am committed to excelling as a dedicated Modern Languages Curriculum Leader and Teaching and Learning Mentor, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the field of education.
