I am a qualified grammar school physics teacher. I have been teaching and tutoring from KS3 to degree level in comprehensive and grammar schools since 2015. Additionally, I have completed my PhD in machine learning (computer science), and with my background in engineering, I can help with those burning questions about careers and universities.
My teaching style is not only to help you achieve the top grades, but I want students to understand the concepts. I use real-world examples to help build your understanding instead of just memorising. The most important aspect of the sciences, especially physics, is that all topics are linked, so being able to identify these will help simplify the subject and start building passion for the subject. I have a huge passion for teaching physics, and that is evident in my knowledge of the subject, especially in real-world examples. My aim is to reduce the complexity of the subject by removing any fluff and being thorough on key aspects.
I have taught and tutored AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. I have access to exam questions, which I use within my lessons to consolidate the learning.
My approach is patient and adaptable, which allows me to help scaffold the knowledge for different learners. There is no such thing as a dumb question, as questions are sometimes more important than the answers.
