As a teacher am significant person in students’ lives, am capable of shaping a great future for students. My qualities as a math teacher include communication, collaboration, listening, adaptability, empathy, and patience. These are some of the qualities that make me great a math teacher l neither assumes that l know everything nor ignores any correction. While l act as facilitators, allowing the students to point out their mistakes and allowing the students to offer case a student finds it challenging to solve a problem, l motivate the students to keep trying and identify where they went wrong on their own. I provide correct instructions and guide the students whenever it’s necessary. As a math teacher l know that my students may have different interests. A student can only sail through life successfully when they follow their passion.
Out of everyone students meet in their life, a teacher can help students to identify their example, l can pose mathematical problems based on accounts to the students who feel they can follow their ambition of becoming an accountant. I am a very patient person l help the student and ensure that they understand the concept clearly. I am always attentive, observant, empathetic, and always have a positive attitude. Being empathetic and caring not only impacts the process of learning but also helps in making good connections with the student. I am very good at communicating with my students as it is a critical skill that is embedded in a good mathematics teacher. With their communication skills, they can explain the problems quickly and find the difficulties faced by the students. Hence, as a good teacher l must be a strong communicator.
