I prepare for lessons by looking through the exam board specification and making sure my lesson plans meet all specification requirements. The way I deliver my lessons is usually by explaining a concept with many past paper question embedded through the lesson. I try to include as much exam practice as possible in my lessons to keep the student engaged as well as to consolidate knowledge.
If the student struggles with a concept, I do not move on and continue to re-explain and present them with more past paper questions until they understand.
Depending on their goals, such as grade goals I try to push them further. Furthermore, if they express the wish to continue the subject in A-Levels I embed in my lessons concepts that will aid them in taking the subject further.
