A-levels are hard! With twenty years of teaching experience at outstanding schools and colleges in the North West I know how to support you through these two years : )

I help my tutees to build their confidence and their subject knowledge and skills to help them push for those top grades. I work with you to help you identify the areas that you would like a helping hand with. I give you the support and opportunity to ask all the questions you need and we work at a pace that suits you.

Sessions with me vary depending on it if it is Literature or Drama but both include:

- Helping you fully understand the set texts. This can include close analysis, creating quotation banks for characters or themes, or exploring the context.
- Strengthening your writing style. This can include expanding your terminology, targeting your phrasing, structuring your ideas and paragraphs, or ensuring you cover all of the assessment objectives.
- Practising exam techniques. This can include going over marked work from your teacher, creating methods for approaching the papers and timings, essay structure, planning answers together, drafting paragraphs together or looking at exemplar writing.
- A-level Drama sessions will also include helping you to create and shape your staging, directing and performance ideas - interweaving contextual and performance style theory.
