I have a passion for teaching, and aim to help every one of my students to not only learn content but also develop their sense of interest in the subject undertaken! Through encouraging and aiding students in developing their own methods of studying, students I tutor will be able to learn and revise content more efficiently, and will have more motivation to do so once they see the small changes and improvements being made in their learning journey. Specifically, I aim to tailor my teaching methods and lesson plan to each individual student to strive for maximum efficiency and outcome in our lessons. Some of my main methods include: learning initial content by helping students link and piece together knowledge from different topics, recalling content through practicing standard exam questions, and consolidating knowledge by teaching them techniques to approaching the more applied and higher level exam questions.

One of my most valuable experiences was with a student who didn’t like chemistry at the start. However, as our lessons continued, they found that chemistry was not as hard as it initially seemed and that they were making small improvements bit by bit. In the end, e we managed to improve this student’s chemistry GCSE grade 3 grades up to a grade 9 from a grade 6, with my student finding a passion for their learning!

Ultimately, I really just want to be able to help my students out-do themselves, and find the motivation to continuously challenge their own limits and potential!
