Hi! I aim to find the gaps in understanding and building there before progressing to new concepts. My main aim in tutoring is to boost knowledge and confidence. I use lots of visual aids to help show and then allow the growth of understanding; while this is proven to be a good technique, I want to do what is best for the child and the most effective way of their learning. The lessons will be delivered online and arranged to fit the best times of the child. I will also send practice questions and mark them independently of the time to ensure the best possible amount of the session is tailored towards making sure everything makes sense. I am more than happy for the child to suggest other ways to deliver these lessons, as this process concerns them and how to maximise their learning. Additionally, I have specific techniques for those with learning challenges to make sure they aren't disadvantaged and can achieve equally if not better.

I teach secondary, GCSE, and A-level studies, such as sciences (only Chemistry and Biology for A-Level) and English Literature. I am equipped with the mark schemes, and when exam time draws closer, I focus more on helping transfer the child's knowledge to reflect within the grading system.
