I the past few years I had the opportunity to tutor French to Australian Children when I lived there and English as a Foreign language when I was studying in France. I obviously specialise in French. And during my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to study several subjects - English literature and civilisations being the main one- including advanced French. So whatever your level in French and your expectation I believe that I will be able to help you improve.
It all depends on your age and level of course! I try to adapt my lessons to the person I work with the most I can. In my past experience I worked mostly with younger children, so I would create recreational support (like card or board games) to help them engage with me and so they find pleasure in their learning experience. For older people I would gladly adapt my teaching supports and maybe use for cultural devices (like shows, song, festivals etc). As a French Assistant, I work with pupils who are preparing to take their GCSE exams and also with a couple of older student working toward their A-level, but I would love to work with adults of university students!
Every individual has their own goals, background, strengths and weaknesses. Which is why, in retrospect, I enjoy the idea of tutoring: everything is a especially adapted to that one person we are teaching to.
