My lessons are planned to be interactive, engaging and tailored to the individual needs of the child. I focus on customisable content where I focus on the child’s goals and interests, whether it’s a concept in Maths, improving English or tackling complex topics in various subjects.
I adapt the pace and content based on progression and preferences. Whether you learn best through problem solving, discussions or exercises I can adapt my planning to suit you.
Lesson structures are adaptable to the individual but often follow the structure of a warm up activity where we will start with a quick review of previous learning or a discussion to settle you into the lesson. We will then move onto the core content of the lesson where I will provide examples, clear explanations and a step by step guide. Finally, I provide continuous and constructive feedback and ensure that you are aware of areas for progression. I will then check in to check on your progress.
I have an experienced background in planning and teaching lessons from children in reception-year 6. I excel in helping children build their skills across the whole of the National Curriculum.

Ultimately, my goal is to create a supportive learning environment where learning from mistakes is celebrated and the children feel empowered to ask questions.
