My lessons are very much centred on what the student wants- if they prefer a more informal style of teaching I am happy to facilitate, or if they wish for classes with more formality I can fulfil that too. Regardless of these teaching styles, I am always aware of the learning goals and meeting them in the time frame which is initially set out. Having taught in a variety of environments (some with resources, other with hardly any!) I have found many learning materials that are engaging, valuable and thought-provoking.
My role is always to facilitate learning and understanding, and to allow students to explore the language in a way that is authentic to them. I can help students to discover their authentic way of learning English. Of course I have my specific way of teaching, of which I can safely say my strengths as a teacher are in precision, pronunciation, fluency and really mastering English speech. I also studied English Literature as my degree, and so have adequate knowledge on how to develop confident writing and reading skills. Great speaking ability goes hand-in-hand with great listening ability, and I can support students in developing excellent comprehension and awareness...so that you can meet with other English speakers and feel confident in your understanding of what they are saying, and also motivated to speak and be fully heard.
