Entering into my fourth year of teaching, I have developed in confidence in a number of vitally important life skills. I have established positive working relationships with colleagues, parents, pupils and fellow course mates – working as part of a team is an integral part to any job and one in which I believe is the real driver to success. I have demonstrated an awareness for, and upheld, key policies, such as safeguarding and GDPR to name a few.
To excel at teaching, I believe one must have a strong desire to understand how children learn and progress. Being in a classroom inspires me in many ways; I enjoy the responsibility of having an active role in improving and shaping a child’s future as well as helping pupils to discover new things about themselves and the world around them. The role of a teacher not only has a fundamental role of educating individuals but also in facilitating skill acquisition and confidence to ensure a successful life beyond the classroom. A good teacher enables children to make the most of their primary school days, and not to find school monotonous, but as a stepping stone to their future selves. I love the idea of having responsibility for a group of children, seeing them grow throughout the year, whilst constantly supporting them in their development.
I will work with the family and the child to tailor sessions to them. I offer bespoke learning opportunities that meet the needs of the individual and the family.
