Whether striving for the very top grades, struggling with school, or navigating learning challenges like dyslexia, I help students to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence and to achieve their very best.

As a HUGE Geography enthusiast, I offer support with: human and physical units, essay writing, exam and coursework technique, and geographical skills (including stats). Face-to-face or online.

Approach to teaching:
1. Understanding students' individual needs: current academic circumstances, challenges & goals.
2. Provide structured learning experience, utilising tools such as checklists based on syllabus specifications that allow students to map their advancement and feel a sense of achievement across our sessions.
3. Build a solid foundation by ensuring students grasp key concepts, before introducing more complex information and tackling areas of difficulty (as specified by students). Resources given so students can revisit key information.
4. Gauge students' comprehension and provide ample exam practice, by practising exam questions at the end of sessions and reviewing answers together.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch, and book a free consultation call.

Emma tutored my daughter for her Geography A level throughout Year 13 and I can honestly say I have seen a complete change in how she approached her studies. Emma has inspired and encouraged her so much, with her warm and helpful nature enabling my daughter to be relaxed, happy to ask questions and feeling like she has been making progress. As a parent, I have been so impressed by Emma's organisation and communication. She provides timely advance prep for each session, then giving detailed feedback and resources to us both after each time and at the end of term. Her knowledge and passion for her subject is clear. I would absolutely recommend Emma wholeheartedly!

Emma has been a brilliant tutor. We have had experience with many different tutors as our daughter is homeschooled, and Emma has been the best by far. She plans the lessons in advance and has become familiar with our daughter's syllabus to direct the teaching content. She also provides additional material she feels will be of benefit. Our daughter really enjoys her lessons and is so much more confident. I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma as a Geography tutor.
