I am a current 3rd Year Falmouth University student studying Game Art, and have previously completed an Extended Diploma in Games, Art and Animation, and an Art GCSE.
I have studied art for a total of 7 years, and 6 of that is focused into 2D work. This year, I am studying 3D art, but still offer my 2D knowledge to those who would seek it!
I have never tutored before so lessons might be quite unstructured as I, myself, learn! I aim to give friendly advice on art, teach fundamentals, and how these fundamentals can be used to create stylised work.
My style of teaching peers revolves around lots of research and advice, and sometimes screenshotting and digitally drawing over others' work to help explain things like perspective. I am a strong believer in you learn more by teaching!
I am proficient with Microsoft 365, and will use this for my behind-the-scenes work of lesson planning. For actual lessons however, I will opt to use free sites such as Google for meetings and progress updates.
Additionally, I work at the Career Zone for Falmouth University. My role there focuses around signposting students towards resources, but I am also able to give CV and hiring advice (based off of the University's own resources - please note that I have never worked as a hiring manager).
Unfortunately due to my location, I am unable to help students in-person and only offer tutoring remotely. I also, as an art student myself, strongly hated homework so I won't be setting any! Though I will advise students to go away and study certain subjects, and request them to show their findings in following sessions.
