Hello, my name is Emma. I have a BA (Hons) in Language Studies specialising in Spanish. I am bilingual and grew up speaking Spanish. I have been teaching TEFL to Chinese students online for over 5 years now. I have also taught Spanish face to face and online with students from ages 9 all the way up to university level. For the past two years my main job has been working in special needs providing 1:1 tutoring, preparing and delivering classes to children of all ages in a variety of subjects such as; maths, English, history, science and geography.

My approach is student focused, I tailor my classes using a variety of teaching methods depending on each students learning style. I will always go the extra mile to make learning a pleasant experience. I endeavour to teach subjects in an easy to understand, fun and creative manner. When teaching languages it is important to minimise teacher talking time to make sure students are getting the practice they need, using a variety of resources allowing them the time to utilise the language and reach their full potential. My mission is to ensure every one of my students succeeds, feels confident that they are gaining a level of proficiency they can be proud of. Whether you are going on holiday, emigrating or studying for an exam, whether you’re 6 or 60, i can tailor classes to meet your needs.
