Hi there! My name is Emma and I am an experienced, native English teacher from the UK. I hold a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), a CELTA and a master's in psychology and I have been teaching for over 20 years, 9 of which were for the British Council School in Madrid, Spain. I currently teach online and I have helped hundreds of people to pass their English exams including KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS. I am also an ex Cambridge oral examiner for KET-CPE so I can tell you exactly what you need to do to get through the speaking as well as preparing you thoroughly for the reading, writing and listening. I really enjoy getting to know new people and my classes, while educational are also a lot of fun!
Every class is planned with your needs in mind. The first class is a get to know you class with an oral assessment so I can plan all your future classes. I have lots of resources we can use including exam materials and books. Pronunciation and error correction are always a key part of my classes and at the end of every class I will provide you with a list of all the new vocabulary we have gone through. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced and many of my current students are professionals such as doctors, teachers and lawyers who require English for their jobs. I am also experienced at preparing people for job interviews. And if you would just like to practise your general speaking skills, I love a good conversation!
