I like to link subjects to real-life experiences and draw connections between the subject matter and the real world. I use a variety of media - YouTube, news articles, books, pictures, movies - to make topics feel more relevant. The joy of English (as a subject) is that it lets us explore parts of ourselves and the world through different perspectives. We get to experience complex human emotions through somebody else's words, and we get to open our minds to completely new experiences. I hope to impart the passion and joy I feel for English onto you.

At our first meeting I will ask you to set a goal for our time together, and then each lessons will get us a step closer to that goal. In my experience, setting goals for lessons makes for more meaningful engagement and will help up to track your progress. These lessons are for you and I want you to make these lessons a space that will accommodate your learning needs. If something isn't working or if you have a better idea - tell me!
