Although I am new to teaching English as a foreign language, I am not new to the role of training. I have recently left my career as a Legal Assistant which led to my qualification in Paralegal Practice. This role required the ability to train others within the firm as not all colleagues demonstrated my level of patience with new comers. Within this role I was required to prepare a presentation on digital assets in Wills. This is a rapidly changing area of law that I had to research and fully understand to transfer the information to others. Luckily, I found this topic engaging which is why I now realise you have to be interested in something for the knowledge to embed. I believe that when you can teach and present a subject, only then do you really understand it yourself.
In my lessons I want you to be inspired about communication so, music, films and art will be incorporated. Obviously, we will need to go through technicalities of the language but I like to understand the students interests to tailor the content in a way that promotes inspiration and progress.
I will be promoting relaxed debates on your passions within my lessons between us. I see us as equals and I am prepared to learn form you just as much as you are from me.
