I cater my lessons specifically to the learning style of the student. Observing how they best learn in the first couple of lessons so that the following lessons will provide an easier learning opportunity as I will mould into the way they like to be taught- whether that’s by hearing parts of the music before playing it, seeing how it should be played, just figuring it out themselves then working on it together or many more styles. This is the way I have taught piano in the past and has always been proven effective, especially with younger students that are still figuring out how they learn themselves. Whether you’re learning for academic enhancement, possibly for school or upcoming exams, or just learning for fun and trying to gain a new skill, we will work together to find what content will benefit you the most as-well as delivering a fun experience, and especially finding pieces of music or songs that the student enjoys as there’s no use of playing something you don’t enjoy! Throughout my time I have developed a high level of patience and understanding when it comes to the art of learning a new instrument - or building on your talent and pushing yourselves to learn more stuff, this also comes from personal experience as I have played piano for the last 13 years and have studied it at university for nearly 4 years. I can only hope to inspire new students to continue learning their instrument as a hobby or career as I think music is a beautiful form of expression that everyone should have a chance or learning.
