As a tutor, I prefer utilising interactive lessons with students, similar to the format of a seminar or a tutorial. However this will depend on the level of each student; should someone not feel comfortable with the material, I will ensure that I give a lecture-style lesson where I provide them with all the relevant information, often using power point slides. Once I feel that a student is confident, I also like going over essay questions or problem questions to ensure that they have a solid grasp of the relevant information!
This is why i prefer reaching out to my students in advance, to ensure what their level is, what they would like me to cover and what the feel most and least comfortable with. I am flexible; should a person prefer face-to-face lessons, I can arrange that with them.
I am a final year law student at Durham university, working to obtain my LLB. I have expertise in Criminal Law, taking also an Advanced module this year, In European Constitutional Law and the European Internal Market, In Public International Law and Legal Governance, as well as Biolaw and Medical Law. I also have general expertise in Human rights, particularly in the topics of refugees, the environment and freedom of speech. I also have experience teaching younger students and implementing lesson plans.
I look forward to teaching both students who struggle with grasping concepts taught in class, and helping them to reach their grade goals, as well as students who just need an extra push to get to a first-class degree!
