During my lessons you will practice all four of the skills you need to be a successful linguist - listening, reading, writing and speaking.

In my day job, I teach GCSE French and Spanish so I can teach you all of the strategies you need to succeed in all parts of the foundation and higher tier assessments on the AQA and Edexcel exam boards.

As a native English speaker, I know what it is like to try out new sounds in a foreign language for the first time. I have spent years honing my skills to build my own confidence in correctly sounding out words in French and Spanish. In my lessons, we will break down how to make the sounds you need to focus on to help you sound more like a native speaker and we will practice getting our mouths around those new sounds together.

Learning about culture is a part of every language-learning journey so alongside the usual vocabulary practice and grammar exercises, we will look at texts from French and Spanish speaking countries and talk about films and TV shows you could watch to help you learn about French and Spanish-speaking cultures as well as improving your skills.

At the end of the day, your language learning journey is about you. To help you get the most out of your time with me, I will make the effort to get to know what it is that really excites you about learning a new language and tailor your lessons to those interests.
