Hi there!
The format of my lessons would be discussed between us upon our first meeting. I don't think there is much point in setting a plan in place and applying it to everyone because what works for one person will not work for every other person. I am a firm believer in knowing a student past what it is they are studying and finding out how they learn best, what they like to learn, and what they might not be as interested in.
I have previous tutoring experience as I tutored during my college years and was unofficially employed by my college to assist those studying for their GCSE exams. During this time I found a passion for tutoring, but I also found a huge gap in the support that is offered for different kinds of students.
I have worked with students who struggle with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia who have been told various things about how their conditions will negatively impact their education. I think this is the wrong approach entirely as anything can be used to ones advantage if they are able to seek out their strengths and use that.
The content of my lessons would depend entirely on the curriculum you are taking part in as I would like to create plans for anyone who decides to put their trust in me to be their tutor.
Not only do I think that everyone should have access to resources, but I think everyone should have access to the correct resources for them and that is what I hope to be able to achieve!
