What is my teaching style?
Whilst improving results is important, I believe fostering self-confidence is equally vital. This is why my tutoring approach is highly personalised, making sure I completely understand your motivations for enlisting my help! Similarly, I know from experience, that we don't all learn in the same way. Therefore, my teaching approach is highly flexible to best suit your preferences.

What is my teaching philosophy?
'Skill-based Learning', 'Individualised Attention' and 'Lifelong Impact' form the three pillars of my teaching philosophy. Under this framework, my students are empowered learners, who don't view mistakes as a sign of failure. Individualised teaching means each student can learn in a way that suits them best, ensuring maximal progress. Lastly, I believe it's vital to expand my students' appreciation for English beyond the classroom, conveying how the skills they learn in our sessions translate into their everyday and future opportunities.

What do I love most about being a tutor?
Watching my students grow in confidence is my primary joy as a tutor. This is when I know I'm doing my job correctly. Also, I love being challenged by my students, as this encourages me to improve too. Learning is never a one way process!

What is so great about English?
Language is the foundation of human connection, creativity, and critical thinking. As a tutor, I find immense joy in witnessing students discover the beauty of expression through writing and literature. Whether it's crafting a compelling argument, analysing a complex text, or simply finding the perfect word to convey an emotion, English offers endless opportunities for growth and self-discovery. By nurturing these skills, I aim to empower my students not just academically, but in all aspects of their lives. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master the intricacies of the English language is truly rewarding, and it's what drives my passion for tutoring.
