My lessons are primarily based around the student. I like to ask for the students concerns and where they believe they need help and then base slides around that. I use PowerPoint to convey the lessons and often have discussion topics for students to dive into the information further. I want to hear your opinion on the content rather than just skipping through information!
I also like to give tasks that fit into their everyday life as opposed to the mundane assignments often given by school. For example I will encourage to watch a film on a certain book or listen to and engage with a particular podcast, and share some resources that I love to use in my every day life.
I love to incorporate fun tasks ( such as memory tasks for those revising or struggling to remember parts of the curriculum ) within my lessons. This has always helped me and hopefully these little tasks and games that other tutors don’t do will help you excel in whatever you are trying to learn.
Overall I try to cater largely to all students so my lessons really change each time and are catered to your own queries and what you want to get out of it. I teach both English and sociology so let me know if you are interested in learning either of these subjects, I am always happy to help.
