I would start the first session by identifying any concerns or anxieties surrounding any of the aspects of the exam, and then go on to have a general conversation where I gain an understanding of vocabulary or grammar they are struggling with.
Once we have ironed out these areas, I will demonstrate what top grade writing and speaking requires, we will then do general speaking practice until the exam and I will go through every sentence of practice writing which I have assigned the student so that they see how it can be improved.
