My lessons are built around what you feel you need help in, whether it be consistent learning throughout the year or extra support for revision approaching your exams.

I can help you learn and analyse your texts by breaking down the analysis into characters, settings, themes and the writing methods (including structure, writing styles and literary devices). When approaching exams we will revisit this if needed by using past exam questions to dissect these areas of analysis in the exam board's style.

I can also help with writing and exam technique; we can revisit how to write in the exam board's preferred style and practise by writing essays together and independently, where I will give feedback and we will tweak and adjust any points to make your essays the best they can possibly be.

I'd like to make you feel as confident and comfortable in your abilities as possible, and hopefully we can achieve this in our lessons so that you go into your exams relaxed and as least stressed as possible.

If you’re struggling to pick up analysis and forming you own ideas, we can work on this too. Literature isn’t as hard as it’s made out to be at school; anyone can do it, and I’m sure I can help you do it too by taking it step by step before we start practicing on several pieces of text. This goes for drama, poetry and prose… and these skills are transferable from GCSEs, to AS level and to A Levels. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
