I began music lessons and learned to read music at a young age, as well as pick up multiple woodwind instruments. I was able to purchase and learn to play the flute when it was requested by a few people who requested lessons. I have dealt with difficult students who fail to bring music, instruments to lessons and refuse to practice. Perseverance is necessary as much as possible and discipline may also be required. Fortunately many of my woodwind pupils have been brilliant to teach and allowed the lessons to be enjoyable for both of us.

Lessons with myself are always conducted in a professional, but friendly manner. During the first few lessons with a student, I will gauge where the pupil is at, In terms of skills and ability. Each lesson thereafter will consist of a warm up, chat about progress, and either a look at something new or continuing our focus on a current piece. Homework will be assigned and equipment expected to be brought to each lesson. Lessons are 30 minutes, unless a change is requested.
