My lessons would only be on weekends and I would ask you some questions to get to know you a bit more and then ask if there is anything that you want to get out of the lessons. What I would try and do is create powerpoints and make them as interactive as possible and I would ask the students so questions and sometimes I would ask them for 'Homework' if they could make a powerpoint on what they so far understand and so I know that they have been paying attention and so I also know that they got something out of these sessions.
