I am also able to teach Politics, History and Maths (my current degree being History and Politics). I can also support in Journalistic tutoring and look over articles, personal statements etc at no extra cost to help manifest your goals and achievements and adapt our lessons accordingly. I create plans around students individual learning styles and needs - will look at areas specifically that you are struggling with rather than giving a impersonal generic overview. As I have ADHD myself I understand different learning styles and effectively can push toward academic goals in spite of learning difficulties or behaviours. I have had students who are dyslexic who have achieved amazing grades and gained confidence and new outlooks. I also used to be a BookSmart Volunteer where I taught 4 year olds with learning difficulties how to read with great success. Being well varied with different ages (4-37) I am adaptive, understanding and supportive of people’s personal goals and wants in education. I’ve helped people get qualifications later in life which have gained them job promotions and security. I will look through your past work and see what critiques you get in class/college etc and go that extra mile to ensure you are receiving the best opportunity and support. Being 1 on 1 your tutoring will feel less school based and strict and will definitely be a conversation about what you want to achieve rather than me demanding grades from you although I always push students to achieve the best they can.
