I will adopt the TEP (Theory, Example, Practice) method of teaching and will give the student full control of what they would like to go through. I will also offer all my first hand experiences, tips, and unique advice on how to achieve high marks in GCSE and A Level Maths - advice that most teachers won't tell you!
My lessons will take place online on a video conferencing platform (e.g. Zoom, Teams etc). Students will have the ability to go through worked examples and ask questions through out the lessons. The best way to succeed in maths is through practice so we will go through lots of practice questions and past papers. I always encourage students to come to the lesson with specific topics or difficult questions that they wish to go through. I am also able to assist students on any difficult homework and assignments they have been set.
Having obtained an A* in GCSE maths as well as an A in A level maths, I know exactly what it take to achieve success in both GCSE and A level maths. I will take the students through the exact process of how I got an A* so that they are in the best position for their exams. On top of this, I will also use my background in Engineering to train students to think logically when solving problems - in addition, to students who also aspire to pursue a career in Engineering, I can offer my advice and expertise in this subject.
I am able to provide the students and/or parents regular reports on the student's progress which will include feedback and targets for the areas the students needs to focus more on. The aim of the these lessons is to make every student become confident in maths to the point where they start to enjoy the subject.
